According to RT Health, eligible members can receive 100% back on a range of preventative dental services each calendar year when visiting a participating More for Teeth provider.

These currently include:

• Two dental check-ups
• Two scale and cleans
• One fluoride treatment
• One mouthguard
• Eligible intraoral X-rays
• Eligible panoramic X-rays

Limits apply to the number and frequency of eligible X-rays.

Does More for Teeth Mean No Gap?

For eligible preventative services included in the program, RT Health members with appropriate Extras cover can receive 100% back when visiting a participating More for Teeth provider.

This means there may be no gap to pay for those eligible services.

However, the benefit still counts towards applicable annual limits. Once your relevant annual limit has been reached, further benefits may not be available for that category during the same calendar year.

Waiting periods and other RT Health fund rules also apply.

What About Other Dental Treatment?

You can still use your eligible RT Health Extras benefits towards dental treatment outside the More for Teeth preventative services, depending on the cover you hold.

RT Health offers different levels of Extras cover, and benefits for general dental, major dental and orthodontic treatment vary between products.

If you require further dental treatment, Lakeside Dental Spa can provide a treatment plan containing the relevant dental item numbers. You can use these to check directly with RT Health how much your policy may contribute before proceeding.

Claiming RT Health at Your Appointment

Eligible claims can be processed through HICAPS at Lakeside Dental Spa, allowing your available RT Health benefit to be claimed at the time of treatment.

Where a service falls within the More for Teeth no-gap program and you meet the applicable eligibility requirements, there may be nothing further to pay for that service.

For other eligible treatment, you will generally pay the difference between the benefit provided by RT Health and the treatment fee.
