What Age Should My Child Visit a Dentist?

The most ideal time to visit the dentist is actually well before the birth of the infant. It may come as a surprise to some people, but a prenatal consultation with your dentist is highly advisable in order to prepare the expecting mum for correct breast feeding positions, habits and traits that can affect the growth of the dental arches.
If this milestone has been missed, we advise you book your child’s first dental appointment soon after birth or at the latest before they get their first tooth. This might seem very early but it helps them get accustomed to visiting the dentist so they hopefully grow up without any fears or phobias.
