Alexandra grew up a variety of places in Australia, including Brisbane, Queensland, the Gold Coast and Rockhampton. She has lived locally since 2014 and qualified as a dental hygienist/ dental therapist in 2013. Alexandra’s specialties include paediatric dentistry and periodontics.
If you have children then Alexandra is the person to see as she is specially trained to treat children and teenagers and is particularly good at empathising with children who have dental phobias or who are at all frightened of dental visits. Alexandra takes the time to get to know each child and to understand why they have any phobias so she can work out how best to treat them. Alexandra also visits schools as she is very good at teaching children about Oral hygiene in a way that is fun yet informative. She is also responsible for carrying out our Zoom whitening treatments.
Alexandra enjoys sports, in particular bushwalking and she is a member of Bayside Women’s soccer team.
Dr Rhea Menon grew up in Brisbane. She graduated with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from the University of Queensland before studying Dentistry at the University of Sydney and graduating with her Doctor of Dental Medicine.
Rhea has experience in all aspects of general dentistry and has a particular focus on oral surgery, crown and bridge work and restorative dentistry.Rhea enjoys positively impacting her patients' oral health and ensuring they are pain and disease-free. She is very much a people person and loves meeting new patients, learning about them, and helping to set them at ease.
Rhea has an extremely gentle touch and never judges when seeing someone who might have felt unable to visit a dentist for years.Our patients find her easy to chat to about dental concerns, and she has a very good sense of humour that quickly helps even the more anxious people feel more comfortable.
Rhea finds it immensely rewarding when she sees patients feeling more able to relax and realise the benefits of regular preventive dental care.
Aside from dentistry, Rhea loves tennis and board games. Her other interests include perfecting the ultimate chocolate chip cookie recipe and contributing to her thriving indoor plant collection.
Dr Daniel Nimr Accad grew up in Sydney before moving to Hervey Bay. Daniel graduated from the University of Melbourne with his Doctor of Dental Surgery. Our patients have quickly grown to trust his calm, reassuring manner and ability to explain dental treatments clearly, always allowing plenty of time to answer questions.
Daniel is a General Dentist who has a keen interest in root canal treatment, dental aesthetics, restorative rehabilitation and especially pain-free dentistry. Like everyone here at Lakeside Dental Spa Hervey Bay, Daniel firmly believes that dental care should never feel painful and strives to ensure patients feel relaxed, calm and comfortable in the dental chair.
When Daniel sees patients, he treats them holistically, understanding it is important to address the physical and mental state of people visiting the practice. He not only restores or replaces missing teeth but ensures our patients benefit from their best and healthiest smile, helping to boost self-esteem and self-confidence.
Daniel finds being a dentist an extremely rewarding career as it gives him the ability to help people. He especially likes improving a patient's oral health, whether relieving pain or discomfort, providing aesthetic dentistry to ensure their smile looks its best or ensuring people leave with teeth that are beautifully clean and healthy teeth after a dental visit. It brings Daniel joy seeing patients leave the practice feeling happy and healthy.
Away from dentistry, Daniel can often be found surfing or out on his paddle board. He enjoys trying out new foods and local restaurants and takes every opportunity to travel.
Dr Leonora Langstaff originally grew up in Oxford, England. She first graduated with a Bachelor of Anatomical Science before studying dentistry, and graduating with her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Bristol.
Soon after graduating, Leonora (Leo) decided to move to sunnier climes and has never regretted her decision to move to Australia. Leo has a very gentle touch and a great chairside manner. She always has the time to listen to patients’ concerns and discuss recommended treatments. She aims always to ensure patients have the knowledge needed to make an informed decision about their dental care.
Leo is experienced in all aspects of general dentistry, but she has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry. She enjoys restoring teeth that are broken and worn down and finds smile makeovers and full mouth rehabilitations particularly satisfying, where a person’s smile and ability to eat comfortably can be transformed. One of the main reasons Leo chose dentistry as a career was to learn how to give people the ability to smile, talk and chew confidently. Leo’s other clinical interests include dental implants and wisdom tooth removals.
Away from Lakeside Dental Spa Hervey Bay , Leo takes every opportunity to go scuba diving and explore the ocean. She loves to cycle and is looking to join a cycling club. Leo is also something of an oenophile and loves learning more about Aussie wines, and she enjoys local cuisines. Leo has two dogs, a Great Dane and a Dalmatian and always loves hearing about her patient’s canine family members.
Dr Erwin Duga grew up in Brisbane. He originally graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern Queensland before studying for his Bachelor of Oral Health and Dental Science, followed by his Master of Dentistry at Griffith University.
Erwin is very well-liked amongst our patients for his kind and compassionate chairside manner and ability to explain complex treatments clearly. He always has time to listen to patients’ concerns and answer their questions. Erwin prefers taking a holistic approach to dentistry, always factoring in a patient’s overall health to determine the best and most effective treatment path.
Erwin is a General Dentist with clinical interests in cosmetic dentistry and crown and bridge. He is especially interested in preventive dentistry. Erwin enjoys educating patients about their dental health and helping them improve their oral health. He finds seeing first-hand how this can improve a patient’s self-esteem an enormously rewarding part of his career. Since moving to Hervey Bay, Erwin has become actively involved with the community, regularly donating bedding and clothes to local churches and charities.
Erwin has two children who keep him on his toes, and he loves spending time with his family and hearing about other people’s families and kids. His other interests include listening to music, poker and video games and staying fit. In addition to English, Erwin is also fluent in Hungarian.
Dr Alex Seeto grew up in Brisbane and is now enjoying living in Hervey Bay. Alex was awarded a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and Master of Dentistry, graduating with Distinction from Griffith University.
Alex is a General Dentist who enjoys providing a wide range of general dental services to his patients. His other clinical interests include oral surgery. Alex loves being a dentist, and has the skill and knowledge to change a person’s smile directly, and seeing the positive impact on their self-confidence and self-esteem. Alex firmly believes that health is a state of mental and physical well-being and that it is important to look after yourself and find the right people to help you along the way. He takes great pleasure in working closely with his patients, ensuring they know how best to care for their teeth and gums at home and enabling them to achieve optimal oral health. He is popular with our patients for his kindness, compassion, and ability to listen carefully to understand patients’ needs better.
Away from Lakeside Dental Spa Hervey Bay, Alex enjoys sports and takes every opportunity to travel when possible. He especially loves exploring new areas and searching for the best pizza restaurants. Alex also likes trying new foods and is always open to patient suggestions and recommendations and discussing his favourite spots.
Dr Sinjeong Monica Lee grew up in Singapore and Korea. Monica originally gained a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Nursing degree before studying for her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Sydney.
Since qualifying as a dentist, Monica has gained considerable experience in a wide range of general dentistry procedures. Monica has a special interest in Orthodontics, especially using clear aligners to help her patients achieve more evenly aligned smiles discreetly. Monica’s other interests include preventative treatment, and she loves helping patients achieve and maintain optimal dental health. Monica also finds restorative dentistry and sleep medicine very interesting and loves updating her skills and knowledge with continuing education, like everyone here at Lakeside Dental Spa Hervey Bay.
Monica chose to become a dentist because she particularly likes combining her scientific knowledge with hands-on clinical skills. She enjoys meeting new people and finds it very rewarding when she can help someone improve their oral health. While some “bad” bacteria will inevitably live in the mouth, Monica works with patients to ensure these bacteria are controlled with good, ongoing preventive dentistry, ideally achieving equilibrium and protecting oral and general health. Our patients appreciate Monica’s caring approach to dentistry and her gentle touch. Monica is fluent in English and Korean.
Away from dentistry, Monica takes every opportunity to travel and loves to keep fit by doing yoga.
Navid Kermani originally grew up in Yemen before relocating to Australia. Navid graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health Science from La Trobe University.
Since then he has gained extensive experience of working with a variety of patients. Navid has a special interest in providing oral health care for children and adults which includes examining and diagnosing dental decays and gum diseases and providing routine dental treatments. He enjoys working with patients and gets great satisfaction to see them healed of their problems.
Navid particularly loves to connect and communicate with patients, ensuring their dental experiences are positive, fun and comfortable. As a parent, it is very important to him that children have a positive experience when seeing a dentist and he can also help parents understand great ways to look after their children’s teeth at home. Navid is bilingual, speaking English as well as Arabic, Persian, Bengal and a little bit of Hindi.
Navid is an active community member and loves getting involved in pre-school visits. Outside of dentistry, Navid enjoys sports, travel and music. He loves chatting with our patients on a wide variety of subjects. Favourite topics include the latest news, sports and community services.
